ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONs

Abstract submission for the World Forum for Spine Research 2012 is now closed.

More than two hundred abstracts have successfully been submitted on the four topics.

Notification to abstract submitters will be on 12 March, 2012.

We invited submissions of original research papers for oral presentations and/or posters. These should not previously have been published or submitted and accepted at other spine research meetings. Submitted abstracts should focus on one of the following topics to be considered for presentation:

  • Back pain and its treatment
  • Diagnosis and diagnostic tools
  • Mechanisms of disc degeneration
  • Motion preservation: prosthetic/hybrid/biological

The following subdivisions for abstract submission are required:

  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion

Dates

The abstract deadlines are as follows:

  • 19 September, 2011: call for abstracts starts
  • 16 January, 2012: abstract deadline
  • 30 January, 2012: review starts
  • 14 February, 2012: review deadline
  • 12 March, 2012: notification of abstract submitters
  • 26 March, 2012: early-bird registration deadline

Please note: oral and poster presenters must register and pay before 26 March, 2012. Only abstracts from authors (or co-authors) who are actually presenting the poster at the conference will be published.
